Overview

Groven mountain lodge is one of our best locations for fly fishing. Here we have crystal clear waters and beautiful river trails with high quality fishing. Combined with the lodge facilities you are really in for a special and unique experience.

With its charming location not far from Geilo you will have all you need to immerse yourself in a day or two of fly fishing and forget about everything else. Our sole focus is to make sure you savor every moment and catch fish that will live long in the memory.

Groven comes from the small river (Grovi) that runs through the property. This river flows down from Grovetjern – one of 5 trout waters that belong to the property and is the closest water to explore from the guest house. In addition to the waters there are also beautiful river trails with high quality trout fishing, offering great opportunities for trout over 1 kg. All of the waters have spectacular views towards Hallingskarvet, a mountain ridge that extends around 35km from Geilo and west, which adds to the phenomenal scenery. All waters and rivers are easily accessible, with the closest just a 30 minute walk from the lodge.
