Why not try something different than a standard incentive trip and take your team or business deep into the heart of nature and share the experience and exhilaration of landing wild trout from the banks of a water or river?
Groven mountain lodge is located in Skurdalen 10 km south of Geilo and is a beautiful and peaceful place for colleagues to unwind and decompress away from the stresses and challenges of the work week. On our adventure you can swap reports and meetings for awe-inspiring views of Skurdalsfjorden and the thrill of chasing trout hiding beneath the surface of the water. We can also combine your stay at Groven with other activities and these can be arranged upon request.
Groven comes from the small river (Grovi) that runs through the property. This river flows down from Grovetjern – one of 5 well-stocked trout waters that belong to the property and is the closest water to explore from the guest house. In addition to the waters there are also beautiful river trails with high quality trout fishing, offering great opportunities for trout over 1 kg. All of the waters have spectacular views towards Hallingskarvet, a mountain ridge that extends around 35km from Geilo and west, which adds to the phenomenal scenery . All waters and rivers are easily accessible, with the closest just a 10 minute walk from the lodge.
As a part of your stay we want to introduce the art of fly fishing and savouring the peace of outdoor life. You will get a stage one course in the basics of casting a fly rod, and an introduction to the types of flies and equipment used in your hunt for trout. Once you’re up to speed, we suit up for fly fishing in one of the waters around Groven.
Don’t hesitate to contact us so we can discuss how we can tailor your next incentive trip to make it perfect for your team or business.
